Negative Emotions

January 18th, 2008

Negative emotions will always be around as long as we live. Awhile ago, I was talking to a friend of mine who recently had a break up with his girlfriend of seven years. He was cheated upon but the problem is that he swallowed everything and accepted his girl back. After a couple of days, that she promised that everything will be alright, he accidentally saw them in a mall looking very happy together. While talking to this friend of mine, I felt that he was starting to lose his mind. He was thinking crazy. He said he wants his girlfriend so bad that he still wants to push through with the wedding. I felt so ashamed for him. He did not in anyway deserve it. So I gave him a piece of my mind.

I told him that the longer this goes on, it will become very harmful to him and to everyone around him. He has to move on and take things one step at a time. I told him to rationalize things and do not just let his negative emotions run over him. After talking we took a walk along our favorite shore. I took him there because we find this place very relaxing. While walking, I told him that he has to learn from his mistakes. Learn from them and take it as a challenge. Lastly, and probably the best advice, he has to learn how to let go of the things that hurt him. The past has a lot of great things but the present is where we live in, not the past. So he has to let go and live his current life.

Dealing with negative emotions is not as easy as it sounds. You have to battle against yourself and you must do all that you can to win this war.

Protect your Back

January 17th, 2008

The back is something that needs to be protected and taken care of. If it is damaged then we will all be having a hard time coping up with everyday life. Sometimes we think that the back is strong because we do not feel any pain if we try to carry heavy things or have poor posture. Thing is, we do not feel the damage just yet. Sooner or later, even if we just lifted a light object, it will snap and the pain will be monstrous. The back has 3 distinct curves, the neck the lower back and the chest region. The curves distribute pressure evenly and thoroughly at the rest of the body. So the key to protecting the back are three things, good posture, correct movements and good diet. With this three, the back will be strong and sturdy.

January 16th, 2008

More and more women nowadays want to improve the way they look. One of the main characteristics of their bodies that they concentrate on is their breasts. Some would dream of having bigger breasts. Now as we all know, without resorting to artificial breast enhancement, this dream is not attainable. We all know for a fact that the size of breasts depend highly on genes. However, women can keep their breasts looking healthy and perky by a simple massage. Self massage is the key to this. This massage is usually done in hot water springs according to a Hindi medicinal study that dates back in the Iron Age – Ayuverda. It is designed to produce a very beautiful and firm shape and a therapeutic healing. It teaches to massage over and around the breast tissues to improve health and produce balance in hormones.

Use massage oils and look for a private place and relax. Begin by putting oil into your fingers and palm. Start massaging the right breast with your left hand. Alternate afterwards. Repeat the steps until you feel a slight numbness and firm breast. Top it off with good breathing between each motion of the palm and fingers.

January 14th, 2008

Most people often say that love heals. Nothing feels better emotionally, physically, mentally and biochemically other than love. It can be very much similar to a drug that heals but however, one major complication or side effect of love is obsession.

Studies conducted among married men has been made. A comparison between those whose wives show love and to those whose wives do not display love has been done. The people who felt love has experience less blockage of the heart or angina. Those who do not feel loved suffer so much angina, elevated cholesterol level, high blood pressure, diabetes and electrocardiogram abnormalities.

Having said that, it literally shows that love may be able to prevent further damage to the heart. It does the similar task to your aging process. So discover what love means and start making that heart pump better than ever.

Rheumatism

January 12th, 2008

Rheumatism in the hands is often caused by old age. Bones deteriorate and often result to rheumatism. The hand is often the target of rheumatism. From a licensed therapist that I have came in contact with, he advised me to have my grandmother place her hands in warm water for 15 to 20 minutes. This will ease the pain. Also, drink a lot of milk to strengthen the bones. It will be a good help as well to stretch the hands and joints once in a while especially in the morning. Moving the joints is the key to fighting rheumatism. So remember, to relieve the pain of rheumatism, exercise.

Self Regulation

January 11th, 2008

This is a very useful technique that a person can use in the advent of panic attacks or anxiety. Anxiety is characterized by blushing, sweating, increased pulse, dizziness, increased muscle tension, hyperventilation, and an overall fear of losing control. These effects can be solved by self regulation. It is a natural medicine which can be done in many different ways. The methods include, progressive relaxation, imagery, meditation, yoga, self – hypnosis and biofeedback. Like any other technique, it takes a lot of practice to perform self regulation. Of course not all of those techniques can be effective for everyone. Each person has a different chemistry. It is up to that person to decide which technique will affect him or her better.
