There was a recent research conducted wherein the brain of a rat is placed inside a robot. This enables the machine to make decisions without the aid of a computer or a human.
According to researchers, this is one breakthrough that could lead to many possibilities. One of which, robots can now think without the guidance of humans. Second, they can observe more closely how a brain could function. This will greatly help in the understanding of the human brain and how fast they can learn. This could also lead to discoveries that might help cognitive diseases such as Alzheimer’s.
