The study shows that any form of activity such as exercises, sport and other recreational activities will do as long as it keep the children active for an hour everyday.
Robert Malina, professor emeritus of the University of Texas-Austin said parents who plays with their children do not only make them keep a normal weight but also strengthen their bond.
Malina strongly suggest that parents focus more on doing a daily exercise since most the children today are too sedentary which lead to excess weight in one-third of children in the USA.
He said parents who play with their children would likely influence them to keep the habit in a regular basis since they have a vast influence on the latter.

Dr. Sarah Conklin, one of the researchers explained omega-3 fatty acids has some composition in it that makes it trigger good mood to the brain of a person.
Conklin added those persons who have high doses of omega-3 in their body are also optimistic and confident than those who do not have it.
However, Conklin said she and the rest of the researchers would conduct further study to determine if eating fish regularly can effectively cause changes in the brain.

Benardo added the economy has created a "paradox" in the industry in that the number of donor applicants has increased, but the demand for donors has declined.
It was learned that although the sale of eggs is illegal, donors usually receive compensation fees ranging from $5,000 to $10,000 for their time and inconvenience.

According to a latest medical study, two out of three men are unsatisfied with their sex life.
In the information released by Pfizer’s inaugural Asia Pacific Sexual Health and Overall Wellness (AP SHOW) it was shown that Erectile Dysfunction (ED) is the top cause why many men in this planet are not satisfied with their sex life.
The Pfizer funded survey was done in 13 Asia Pacific countries where it was revealed that men with ’suboptimal erections’, (erections that are not as hard as they could be) are less satisfied with sex and other aspects of the sexual experience.
Based on research suboptimal erections is a common problem, affecting more than 50% of men aged 40 to 70 years.
The data on erectile problems and suboptimal erections also show that these conditions are not part of aging.

Based on the latest study two out of three men around the world are not satisfied with their sex life.
Accordingly, the information stipulated that an older male have just as much right to normal sexual functioning as younger men.
Researchers revealed that suboptimal erections can be due to an underlying illness or medication, and is not always due to psychological factors alone.
Suboptimal erections often have a mixed aetiology, both organic and psychological.
Concomitant physical disease is an important cause of suboptimal erections.
The study also showed that there is also evidence of an association between optimal erectile function and men and women’s overall outlook on life, attitudes about sex and men’s sexual health and performance.
Men who have erectile problems should seek immediate medical help before things could get worse and put your life in jeopardy.
Radiation treatment has impact on women fertility
Author: admin
If it is possible radiation, treatment should not be done directly to the ovaries of women inflicted with cancer in their reproductive area since radiation has a direct effect on the fertility of that person.
This was the finding published in the recent issue of the International Journal of Radiation Oncology Biology Physics, the official journal of the American Society for Radiation
Oncology (ASTRO).
ASTRO is the largest radiation oncology society in the world, with more than 10,000 members who specialize in treating patients with radiation therapies.
The research conducted has shown that radiation therapy to the pelvic region can cause ovarian failure, which would result in damage that makes the uterus unable to accommodate the growth of a fetus.
Having seen the result of the study, researchers from the Harvard Radiation Oncology Program and the Department of Radiation Oncology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, both in Boston, jointly move for the review of the impact of radiation therapy on fertility, pregnancy and neonatal outcomes among female patients and the effectiveness of ovarian transposition, or moving the ovaries out of the field of radiation, as a means of preserving fertility.

Women undergoing radiation treatment need to be careful since recent studies have shown that this type of treatment has an impact on women fertility.
Based on the study it was also shown that women who received abdominal or pelvic radiation had an increased risk of uterine dysfunction that lead to miscarriage, preterm labor, low birth weight and placental abnormalities.
The research has also shown that women who received low doses of ovarian radiation are at risk of suffering from early menopause.
Researchers were also able to discover that ovarian transposition was proven an effective method of reducing the rates of ovarian dysfunction, but even if the ovaries are outside of the field of radiation, scatter dose can cause significant damage.
This recent medical finding should serve as lesson to women to always vigilant at all times especially if they wish to undergo radiation treatment since the procedure could lead to infertility.

Those persons who regularly make vegetables part of their diet are putting themselves at risk for eating disorders.
This strange but real information was based on a study conducted by researchers who discovered that aside from the benefit of decreased risk for overweight and obesity, vegetarians are at risk to suffer from binged eating.
Binge eating is a pattern of disordered eating which consists of episodes of uncontrollable overeating.
It is sometimes as a symptom of binge eating disorder. During such binges, a person rapidly consumes an excessive amount of food.

According to a latest study, vegetarians are at risk for eating disorders over diet.
Most people who have eating binges try to hide this behaviour from others, and often feel ashamed or depressed about their overeating.
Eating binges can be followed by so-called compensatory behaviour, acts by which the person tries to compensate for the effects of overeating.
Examples of such acts are purging (induced vomiting or laxative abuse), fasting, and heavy exercising.
Vegetarians all over the globe should take this report as a stern warning for them to be more careful on their vegetable.
As means of precaution, vegetarians just always need to remember, "Too much of everything is bad".

In the study conducted by the University Of Minnesota Department Of Psychiatry, it was discovered that the drug Naltrexone (mean dose of 117mg/day) could effectively curb the urge to steal of those persons suffering from Kleptomania.
Jon Grant, M.D., J.D., M.P.H., a University of Minnesota associate professor of psychiatry and principal investigator of the study revealed they base their evaluation on 25 men and women ages 17-75, who spent an average of at least one hour a week stealing.
Grant explained although the said drug is not a total cure for kleptomania it is still good news to all that if combined with individual therapy it can affectively bring solution to this type of sickness.
Those patients suffering both from will certainly be happy with this report since Naltrexone offers effective and cheap treatment for their medical condition.

Alcoholism and drug addiction medicine Naltrexone is also an affective treatment for Kleptomania.
Those patients suffering from head and neck cancer have better chances of cure if they live a healthy lifestyle.
This was revealed in the latest study made by the University of Michigan (U-M) School of Nursing on 504 head and neck cancer patients they used in the experiment.
Based on the result of the study, it was discovered that cancer patients who engage in unhealthy lifestyle like smoking and not eating fruits and vegetables have less chances of surviving their medical ordeal.
Dr. Sonia Duffy, associate professor of nursing U-M School of Nursing and her colleagues who conducted the research said cancer patients who live a healthy lifestyle by eating healthy foods and avoiding unhealthy habits find cure in their medical condition.
Duffy said those cancer patients who wish to find cure in their ailment should take a supreme self-sacrifice to avoid bad vices like smoking and drinking and instead of doing healthy activities like eating nutritious foods and engaging in exercises.
With the ill effects, it offers to persons suffering from cancer it would be best that unhealthy lifestyle would be avoided for speedy and effectively recovery from this type of medical ailment.
