According to a latest medical, report those women who smoked during pregnancy help in spreading eating disorders to their future children.
Based on the study conducted by medical researchers it was discovered that pregnant women who smoke tend to have higher concentration of the hormone leptin.
Leptin is an important hormone located in the hypothalamus to control eating and food intake.
Medical researchers said the high concentration of leptin to the body results in eating disorders.
Pregnant women who smoke tend to have higher concentration of the hormone leptin.
The result of the study showed that children who are born to smoking mothers tend to be smaller and has a high dose of leptin within their body.
Experts said the high presence of leptin in these children eventually resulted to their food disorder medical condition.
Many of these children are brought to hospitals for treatment of their food disorder.
Worse, a number of these children carry their food disorder problem for the rest of lives because of high concentration of leptin within their body.
This medical finding should serve as warning to pregnant to keep a healthy lifestyle during their pregnancy for the sake of their children.
