How does an abuse affect someone?

* Leaves the person in agony for some time

* It can lead to depression and other psychological disroder

* Affects his/her performance at work or interaction with people

* When a person finds it quite difficult to move on, it can cause him/her to become a psychologically cripple

* It can cause a loss of self-worth and self-esteem
