Yet they can turn to others that share similar situations or who have empathy with their situation. Too little emphasis is given to the power of self expression (letting it out) and peer support (sharing it). Why did 'they' listen to her scream - who knocked at her door - or even tried tapping on the window. We have found that the ability to talk about whatever is on your mind anonymously, openly and honestly can be a vital first step in the road back to self.
