Preventing Child Abuse
The celebration of 53rd World Children’s Day in Kulala Lumpur is not a mere celebration to promote child awareness. It also aims for child protection from the abuse that increases across the country, leaving the child vulnerable and helpless.
Because of this alarming rate, an amendment of Child Act 2001 motivates several professionals such as medical experts, teachers, and caregivers to report a case of child abuse. By proposing this to the Parliament, it may stop 300 additional cases of physical, sexual, and emotional abuse among children since 2004.
