Getting Paranoid
Author: karenCommonly used in casual conversations, paranoia is used to imply when you are out of your wits or being insane. If you are one of those people who use this word for such purpose, well, my dear, I hope you’d be more careful the next time you use it…. even if it’s just a typical talk. This is because paranoia has a strong implication to excessive mistrust to others. Those who are “paranoid” are always suspicious to the things around them. Make an ordinary move and they will think that you are going to kill them. Paranoia has no cure and has three categories:

-
Delusional Disorder – Coming from the word itself, people who have this, have delusions and what they believe are usually extraordinary. Though they have odd beliefs going on their minds, they can still function and behave normally, though there are cases that a delusional person acts bizarrely according to what they believe.
-
Paranoid Personality Disorder – If a delusional person has odd beliefs, a person who has paranoid personality disorder acts out their suspicions by making heated arguments to justify their beliefs. They also think that how people treat them is the opposite of their true intentions.
-
Schizophrenia – A mental disorder causing one to behave in abnormal way because of his/her strong hallucinations and delusions. What they see, hear, smell, feel, and taste are no longer imaginary, at least in the perception of a schizophrenic. Before them, everything actually happens, causing them to act in a very extraordinary way.
