The Father of client-centered therapy
As we progress today in psychotherapy, we often forget the people who made a remarkable change in helping others and making breakthroughs when it comes to therapies and treatments.
Carl Rogers is a prominent figure when it comes to humanistic psychology. He is known as the father of client-centered therapy. He developed the humanistic concept while working with a bunch of abused children. He changed the world of psychotherapy when he boldly claimed that psychoanalytic, experimental and behavioral therapists were preventing their clients from ever reaching growth and realization all by themselves.
He was pretty much frustrated in with the authoritative analysis that therapists impose on their patients and that is why he suggested that therapists must allow their patients to find the answers and solutions all for themselves. Therapists should be there just to guide and with regards to the discovery of answers, the patients should be the ones to find them. With this suggestion, he gained a lot of high honors and his ideas received wide acclaim.

This is a good idea. However, I need a therapist to also give me some answers. This would be benificial for me because everyone needs some good advice every so often. And I like challenge therapy too.
