Women’s right to sexual pleasure
Just recently, I stumbled upon a pretty odd article over the Internet. The news originated in Ecuador wherein people are in pursuit of the sexual happiness for women and it could be enshrined soon in their very own constitution.
The proposal came from one of the country’s party which literally created a stir in the conservative nation. Maria Soledad Vela submitted this proposal because women are being seen traditionally as sexual objects or just for their reproductive role.
Vela argued that the right to a woman’s sexual enjoyment is ensuring that women can make a free and responsible decision about their sex lives. Vela’s fellow committee members proposed separate provisions for women’s rights.
Soon, we may be able to see the right to sexual enjoyment in the constitution of Ecuador.
